Living Learning Library
A large collection of scarce children's/teen books (PreK-12) from the vaunted "Golden Age of Youth Literature" (1930s-1960s), characterized by retro hand-made illustrations & richly narrative writing on every imaginable academic subject and fictional theme. These book gems--from biographies and historical fiction, to history, science, math, geography, and even to picture-books and early chapter readers--are nearly impossible to find in libraries elsewhere which focus instead on current books. These "living books," as they are called, inspire reading and learning in a unique, impactful, and memorable way, especially for reluctant readers!
