July is Parks and Recreation Month. The month celebrates the vital role parks and recreation professionals play in bringing residents together, providing essential services and fostering the growth of our community. The Town’s Parks and Recreation Department maintains the Town’s 200+ acres of parks and natural areas and provides various community classes, 50+ programs, family-friendly events and more.

It’s time to share why local parks and recreation is Where You Belong.  Since 1985, people in the United States have celebrated Park and Recreation Month in July to promote building strong, vibrant and resilient communities through the power of parks and recreation. Park and recreation agencies across the nation are recognizing the month with summer programs, events, contests, commemorations and celebrations.
