Physical Therapy Month was introduced 32 years ago by the APTA (American Physical Therapy Association) to raise awareness among consumers about the many benefits of physical therapy!

     Active physical therapy, which we practice at Sloane Stecker, is a form of therapy that focuses on movement-based exercises to improve strength, flexibility, and endurance. The main principle behind active physical therapy is that movement is key to healing and improving physical function. By actively engaging in exercises, you are able to strengthen your muscles, increase range of motion, and improve cardiovascular endurance.

Physical therapy can be a great complement to other forms of exercise in your daily life. By combining physical therapy with activities such as running, golf, yoga, pickleball, or swimming, you can further enhance your strength and endurance.
