Ganapati Crafts Co. - An Ethical Gift Shop Newly Open in MALLORY CREEK

Hello Fellow Abacoa Neighbor! I’m Yian Chang, the owner of the Ganapati gift shop. Some of you may have noticed my cute little establishment located at 3356 W Mallory Blvd.

Entering the shop, you’ll see all kinds of intricate handwoven products from across the globe - round rattan bags and rattan housewares from Bali, Indonesia, cute little wool felt baby mobiles, and toys from Nepal. 

A Little about myself

Over the previous ten years, I have traveled to various Asian countries where I met local artisans who made many charming traditional handicrafts. What you see here in the shop, represents the beautiful fruits of their labors. 

You may be interested to know that when I first started my business, I merely imported from various artisan groups. Little by little, I felt that the design of the products could be changed to better fit American tastes. When I look back, I realize that I’ve put my exclusive designs on dozens of items! And most of all, people love them!

Do Small Thing With Great Love

I like products with stories. I hope my business not only improves my life but also brings blessings to the people who work so hard to make their lives better and support their families. The collections of WSDO (Women Skill Development Organizations) handwoven bags are handmade by underprivileged women in Nepal. The dazzling “Drop Earrings Not Bombs” are handmade by Syrian refugees in Turkey.

After 6 months of preparation, my shop has debuted, just in time for the holiday season! If you are looking for unique handmade gifts with a heart, you are in the right place!
